Saythany district is promoting monsoon cash crop cultivation

The cultivation practice will complete as plan this month, said Head of Agriculture and Forestry Office of Saythany district, Mr. Banelom Si-akhasone.
He continued that authorities of Saythany district also promoted local people to grow monsoon cash crops on 600 ha, which was 84 per cent complete.
For the meat production was reached by 6,000 tonnes in the first half of this year as its plan was 6,400 tonnes of meats.
Saythany district dispatched technical officials in bid farmers to plant more cash crops and gave new technique to farmers.
At the present, Saythany district authorities are accelerating to cultivate organic vegetables in Thatngone area where is an initial area which has 12 families.
In addition, they grew papayas, lemongrasses and galangals in two villages of Duangboudy and Vernthang.
